Why Am I Writing...

I have reached a stage in my practice where movement feels less like an action and more like a field of study. Every adavu, every rhythmic cycle, every pause between two steps reveals a structure far more intricate than technique. Dance has begun to feel like a quiet intelligence that lives in the body long before it becomes visible.

I am writing these blogs because I want to understand that intelligence — not by repeating what is already documented, but by paying attention to what emerges through practice, slowly and with curiosity.

My background in Electronics Engineering, specialization in Signal processing shapes the way I recognise patterns, systems and signals. My journey in Bharatanatyam shapes the way I feel Rhythm, Geometry and Energy. My interest in music shapes the way I listen to silence, vibration and multiplicity. Over time, these worlds began to overlap in ways too meaningful to ignore.

This series is my attempt to articulate those overlaps — to explore the architecture of motion, to understand how Bharatanatyam grew out of the way people once lived, and to observe how movement carries memory, culture, and intention.

This is not a collection of conclusions. It is a slow exploration — ideas unfolding through practice, reflection, and lived experience.

My first blog, My Journey into Dance, begins that story. These upcoming blogs continue it: an inquiry into movement, dance, and Bharatanatyam shaped by curiosity and the body’s own way of knowing.
